PHA training is a great way to burn fat and build muscle tissue in the same workout. It’s an enjoyable circuit type session that is very intense.
Upper and lower body exercises are alternated without rest in a circuit. This increases the demand of the heart to shunt blood from the upper to lower body overloading the entire body rather than a localised muscular overload.
This is our regular Thursday session. Neil works pretty much non stop for an hour! We cycle 3 resistance exercise with a maximal effort run for 1 minute. This gives us 1 circuit, Neil does 16!
You will notice a dramatic increase in your strength endurance, aerobic capacity and also body tone. Sustaining this for 30 minutes will burn over 400 calories during training and also create a calorie defect post session due to the high anaerobic work.
