I’ve been busy as always and had some pics done this week to see my progress over the last 6 months and I am pretty happy with my progress. I can really see the difference in my body shape and have become much more toned and look more solid and strong. What do you think??
I was hoping to put a bit more muscle definition on my legs and arms but considering this time last year I couldn’t even do a proper squat with good form with a 15kg bar after my C-Section I’ve got to be impressed that I can now squat 60kg arse to grass!
Training wise I have just finished a 2 week mini strength phase which my body was not expecting and I had DOMS for most of the two weeks. I have now switched back to hypertrohpy for the final 6 weeks for a final push and to see if I can get any more results in the lead up to the competition. I’ve also started to think about after the comp and what I’m going to do. I’ve honestly really enjoyed getting back into fitness and becoming fit and strong. I’m going to really spend some time on Olympic Weightlifting and really focus on the snatch and clean and jerk and aim to increase the weight. I also want to be able to do a full pull up without a resistance band and I really want to squat 1.5 times my body weight which will be 82.5kg!
I think it’s important to have a focus for after the competition as I fully expect to be on a bit of a come-down with all the hard work and training I’ve put in over the last year!
With the countdown on I am actually finding the food side of things easier than I thought, I think it’s because I’ve just got into such a routine it’s just part of my day now 🙂 I’ve stopped all cheat meals but am still having carbs with most meals.
I’ve included a few pics from the shoot that haven’t had any editing and also one from when I first training for the comp.
