We had the lovely Eleanor Dickinson from the Cambridge News join us last Saturday to see what Weightlifting is all about and how it benefits women as well as men. She seemed a bit unsure at first and I’m pretty sure wasn’t prepared for some of the weights that were being lifted by the female members of PB Weightlifting!
Eleanor soon got the hang of it and I taught her the basics of the Clean and Jerk. Hopefully this won’t be the first and last time she attempts Weightlifting, I know she was pleasantly surprised by the rest of our female team and how toned and feminine they looked, we all know how beneficial weights are to building a body to be proud of and hopefully this article will further raise awareness that women shouldn’t just be doing cardio and lifting 2 lb dumbbells!
We had another great session with lots of improvements and you all impressed me as usual 🙂
